Here are some common problems that you may encounter and their solutions. The option that I want to use on the menu is greyed out I Can't over-type the data on a form         The option that I want to use on the menu is greyed out The system has decided that this option is not appropriate at this time. Check that a record of the appropriate type is current, or if you wish to print a report, that there is some data to print. I Can't over-type the data on a form The data is locked to prevent accidental amendment (you will frequently go to this form to carry out operations on the menu, but rarely change the actual data). To allow changes to the data, click on the 'edit data'  button at the top right of the form; the background of the data fields will change from the same colour as the form to white and you will be able to change the data. You can switch this facility off if you wish, by selecting File | User Options .. from the menu bar on the Main Menu form and then unchecking the 'Lock Fields against Update' box. You should, however, think carefully before doing this.
